Combo recently completed a four-month project for Level 10 Fitness & Health in North Vancouver. The project involved developing a marketing plan, refreshing the logo, redefining the brand, and designing and building a new website.
With many different projects on the go at any one time, I am often guilty of forgetting to reflect and celebrate the work we recently finished. I'd like to rectify that by sharing some highlights of our engagement with Level 10:
Developing a strong client relationship
The trusting relationship we built went a long way to ensuring we were understanding one another's needs throughout the project. As Kelsey put it, "Having previously worked with a company who didn't understand who we were, Combo Creative was a refreshing change. They delivered on our vision through the perfect blend of design and function in a professional, organized and strategic way."
Promoting an inclusive brand
Level 10 has always been known as one of the top fitness establishments in the Lower Mainland, attracting high-level and professional athletes. However, it wasn't well known that Level 10 trains people of all shapes, sizes and ability levels. Through messaging and imagery, we needed to portray a welcoming and non-intimidating environment for everyone. We were up for the challenge.
Kelsey says it best: "Combo Creative deserves praise for their ability to express our love for our customers in such a unique way by revealing who we are through the eyes of our clients. Combining our passion for our community with their passion for design and expression, we now have a website that really tells Level 10's story."
Broadening the story
After conducting market research and interviewing many types of Level 10 clients — past, current and future — it was clear we needed to make people more aware of the gym's range of offerings. Reworking the website navigation helped a lot. Users can now see at a glance the wide variety of training options, classes and sports medicine services available. But more important, we recommended a company name change from "Level 10 Fitness" to "Level 10 Fitness & Health" to better reflect the company's large focus on sports medicine services such as physiotherapy, massage therapy and athletic therapy.
As Kelsey states, "Simple, clean, attractive, mobile friendly and functional — all goals when designing the perfect website. Combo Creative, through use of their diverse team, made achieving these goals easy."
